However, once I got to bottom, I talked to the manager and got a grassy spot for $40. Clean bathrooms, free showers. I'd say a bit expensive but when you've hiked for 22kms that day, it was welcome.

Nice camp site. Suffering a bit from the roadworks and the pool is not in use, the facilities are clean and maintained. Good value and one of the most enjoyable stays we had accross half a dozen sites around the island

It's probably seen better days but still a nice place to go camping among the giant cedars, the staff was very cool with us, its very laid back.

It's hard to evaluate this place and be objective about it. I stopped here after a LONG hike, hoping to get a spot to stake my tent for the night. Coming down from the railway that is behind the place, I saw a community of permanent RVers. A shanty town of sort built into the side of the mountain. It was a bit surreal since I was hiking in the middle of no where, then all of a sudden, I'm walking in what seems to be a refugee camp.
